The Magician

The magician is a disciplined fool. We take the shapes of the things we resist. The magician resists as little as possible. It is most efficient not to change the world, but to reveal it as it is. For this reason the magician speaks not in commands, but in odes. He begins with himself. Complete acceptance, infinite love. The trust by which patiently he reveals himself. Ladder, tunnel, horse, hound! The freedom of the all is found. When he opens his hand it is empty. The coin is gone! He pulls it from behind your ear. He is telling you — the coin is everywhere.
